Oil spill

As many of you have noticed we as humans are affecting the environment around us. This can be harmful but not lethal as the topic discussed today. As many of you know a few months ago( Exactly April 20) an oil spill happened in the Gulf of Mexico near Lousiana. This occured in an oil rig called Transocean Deepwater Horizon. This caught on fire but affortunately the 116 of 127 crew members that were there escaped. The total number of gallons of oil that were released to the sea were 200,000. This spill became a huge threat to humanity. First, the water became polluted. This also affests the animals that live near or in it. Some examples that appear in the website are seaguls, fish and other birds.


This oil spill is a big deal and it will have serious concsecuences. Experts know are trying to recolect some of this oil so it doesn´t spread to other coasts but this takes time and the spreading is fast. ( There are some pictures of the methods use in the link in the first pargraph.) I think this recolection is a good idea but its not very effective. This oil can´t be totally moved so there is nothing to do but stopping the oil extraction in oceans. We all have to think of the future of humans. There is a possibilty that future civilizations will not enjoy the ocean as we do, maybe the ocean will be so contaminated that it can´t be touched. Imagine that two-thirds of the Earth can´t be lived on. the occurence of this leak has to eancourage people to make a change.

MAP testing

This week of May we had Map tests again. These annoy me because they take so long and they don't really make much sense. First, they ask us things that have nothing to do with what we have studied or they ask us things we learned centuries ago. This time I wasn't in the mood to do this tests but I did kind of good. I got 239, 231, and 229 in math, language , and literature. I think I didn't reach my goal for the scores but i am sure that in the next test I will do better. If I could do this test I would taken my time to do it and get a better mark on it. The best thing of this tests is that there are over. presentations

The powerpoint presentations that I saw were from Rodrigo,Eduardo, and Jorge. They were all related and well presented. They aproximately took 4 to 5 minutes in getting done. We all talked about the same or similar topic which was air pollution. Each one had different types of information but they all related to Global warming. They all had pictures that gave resemblance to the topic. If I could change something about my presentation, that will be the information. I thought it was too boring. I would put more funny information or more resumed. In my opinion this project was interesting and easy to talk about.

powerpoint

The comedian`s video of powerpoint made me remember how some of my friends and even me use powerpoint in someway wrong. People in my class always use animations that move. Sometimes there are so annoying I don`t pay attention to the preasenter. One time one classmate gave movement to his picture for about 1 minute. Another thing most of my callsmates and I do is spelling errors. Most of the time when there is a spelling or grammatical error that we don`t correct we usually get mixed up while presenting it. Powerpoint can help you or affect you while you present something. The only things we students need to do is take our time becauuse common mistakes like this ones always happen.

video grade

The comments I made in other student`s videos made me think of important factors that make good project. The two videos had a significant difference. One seemed good and well done but the other one had more effort put into it. I wouldn`t change anything on mine but the video that was well done was exceptional except for the lack of music. The commenting of this videos gave me lots of ideas for my next video but not for this one. The way I did my video is different from the ones my classmates did. That is what I like and makes me see that i really did a good job on it. This is what I think of the videos I graded.
