PART 2: Digital Media in Schools

More teachers are using tools to try to detect cheating or deter students’ inclination tocheat. In the program, we see the use of plagiarism-detection tools like Turnitin.com andwriting assignments completed during class time to make sure students do their own work and generate their own ideas. In terms of student writing, what are some different types of "cheating"? What are the elements you would include in your definition of

"cheating"?

Cheating is a way to get a good grade in an assignment without effort. There are many ways to cheat in an exam or make a homework assignment. you can browse in the Internet for web pages that can tell you summaries of books etc. An example of a web page is Sparknotes.com but schools are now using turnitin.com. This checks if the assignment was copied from a web source. In the exams people cheat in many ways. Most teachers tell us that students record their voice saying the answers and put it in their Ipod. when its time for the exam they hear the playlist to respond the questions. Another way to cheat in the exams is by using small notes with really small letters. Cheating shouldn't be done but teachers should also leave less work for the students.
